searching for a town in Basilicata...

i have a family history chart that states an ancestor born in "town of Canoso Province of Basilicata". i can find a town called that but it isnt in Basilicata. ive looked on maps and googled it also. Canoso is also the family surname. is there a small village in Bacilicata named Canoso that wouldnt be on the maps?

Hi, it,s not Canoso but Canosa and it is in puglia. there is a mistake because Canosa is very close basilicata in particular "ofanto valley".

C'è anche una Canosa Sannita in Abruzzo (provincia di Chieti).
Anche il cognome potrebbe essere Canosa:
