I‘m new to this forum and don‘t speak Italian very well. I still hope that someone is kind enough and can help me.
I’m helping someone to find out more about the whereabouts of the Singer family in Trieste, in particular their descendants.
Franz/Francesco Singer (*ca. 1850, + ca. 1925/26 in Trieste) was a pastry chef in Trieste and was married to Mathilde Michel (*ca. 1854, + 13.01.1927 in Trieste). They are said to have to sons:

• Eli Oskar Singer

• Guglielmo Singer (*1878, + 27.02.1924 in Trieste) and his wife Giovanna Giupavec

Guglielmo and Giovanna are said to have one son:

• Guglielmo Singer (*ca. 1907 in Trieste)

I’ve never done genealogical research in Italy before, so this is going to be a bit difficult for me. I found the registro degli atti di morte of Trieste on FamilySearch, maybe I can find a document on Guglielmo Singer senior. (Unfortunately, the documents don’t seem to be in chronological order.)
What other sources can you recommend? Do address books of Trieste from this time still exist? Or do you know more about the Singer family?

Morte di Matilde Nichel il 12.01.1927 a Trieste. Uno dei dichiaranti è Guglielmo Singer di 21 anni.

Nell'atto di morte di Guglielmo si dice che è figlio del fu Francesco. Quindi Francesco è morto prima del 26.02.1924.

Nella lista dei cognomi che furono italianizzati in epoca fascista, il cognome "Singer" risulta italianizzato in "Cantori";

That’s a very important discovery which I wouldn’t have found on my own.
That would explain why I don’t find the surname Singer in telephone book for Trieste. Also thank you for finding Leone Singer, I'll check how he is connected to the family.
