My mom's parents were from Fiumalbo, Modena, and I can't find any info on my nonno's mother, Maddalena (Albani) Donati. Her and Michele Donati had a young daughter who died in Sep. 1875 and bisnonna is "nubile" at that time. A baby was born in Mar. 1876 and bisnonna is "moglie" so it looks like they were married between Sep. 1875 and Mar. 1876. I've searched that time period and many years before and after that and I can't find a marriage. I've seen thousands of birth, death, and marriage documents from Fiumalbo and I haven't seen the surname Albani on any documents which is odd. I'm sure of her name because it's on my nonno's and his sister's marriage records and the baby's death record. It is clearly written Maddalena Albani. Only the Matrimonio document is available for my grandparents. I could get more info about her from the Allegati or Pubblicazione documents if they were available. Bisnonno was born about 1837 and died in 1908. I've looked at all of the Morte records up to 1920 where they end online and she isn't listed there, so maybe she died after 1920.

Also, on Michele Donati's death record from 1908, it says "marito di Albani Maddalena" so I assume she was still living when he died.

I have those documents. They are her children and husband. I'm looking for her parents names or her birth and death dates. None of those documents have the information I'm looking for. I know that she may not have been born in Fiumalbo.

Thank you. I kept searching for information and I found another baby born in 1865 to Maddalena Albani & Michele Donati. The baby was a brother to my nonno that my family didn't know about, and his Nati record had information about Maddalena that was not in the other childrens' records. It says Maddalena's father was Francesco Albani, she was 20 years old, and she was born in Bassano (that was a surprise). It was the information I needed.

I have a new mystery. I am looking for the Morte record for a bisnonno, Giuseppe Amidei. I found three places in this book where they write about him but not in a normal entry. Someone told me it says that the mayor was not available and it caused a problem with the book. They write about him on page 12 on the lower right, page 13 on the lower left, and page 20 at the top. I don't understand why the information is written small in the name area and entered 3 times. Did he die in Dec. 1917?

Giuseppe Amidei, son of deceased Bartolomeo, (I don't know if this is "your" Giuseppe), was an alderman of the Town, so he had to sign the register (for checking and closing) instead of the Mayor, as the latter was ill.

Thanks a lot. I thought someone wanted to enter his death in the book but they needed a new book for 1918. I didn't understand that he was the person writing.
