Hello! Sorry but I’m writing in English because I’m still learning Italian. I have found out that my great-great-grandfather is Italian but I can't find anywhere his birth certificate or place of birth!

His name was Carlo Bocco, he was born in 1874 or 1875 in the region of Piemonte. One of his sibling had a child in Caramagna, Cuneo but after Carlo came to Argentina. Anyways i sent an email to the Comune di Caramagna and to the Comune di Pinerolo, because i coundn't find anywhere the files. He came to Argentina in 1882/1884 when he was a child.

His parents were named Michele Bocco and Maria Camusso.

I have searched in FamilySearch and Antenati but couldn’t find him. He has around 7 siblings but any of them has their birth place. I search the surname in Cognomix and it says that there are around 78 families in Torino, around 4 families in Cuneo, one in Alessandria and one in Asti.

I would really appreciate any help or suggestions as indicate me another way of searching that I might be missing.

Effettivamente i cognomi Camusso e Bocco sono molto presenti a Pinerolo però per quella zona non ci sono risorse online.
Possiamo provare attraverso il fratello che ha avuto un figlio a Caramagna Piemonte.

Thanks! The one that was born in Caramgna is Giovanni Barberis, son of Anna Bocco (Carlo's sister) and Giuseppe Barberis.

i don't understand that much because the way they used to write, so i couldn't get much information. But says Giovanni was born in 1896.

The names of the rest of his siblings are: Michele Bocco, Lucia Bocco, Teresa Bocco, Giuseppe Bocco, Catalina/Catterina Bocco and Bartolomeo Bocco.

Giovanni Barberis è nato presso l'Ospedale della Maternità di Torino: probabilmente la madre aveva avuto una gravidanza difficile. Era raro che i bambini nascessero in Ospedale e poi Caramagna Piemonte è distante da Torino e con i mezzi di quell'epoca il viaggio poteva durare anche tutta una giornata.

Yes! i have already seen them and one of them was born in 1875 and the other in 1874, but i'm almost sure that he was born in 1875, acording to the age he was when he died and the age he was when his son was born.

Ho già cercato. Non c'è neppure il matrimonio di Giuseppe e Anna.
Inoltre guardavo il tuo albero dove vedo un Juan Antonio Barberis nato nel 1900 al quale è collegato il matrimonio del 1919 di Juan Barberis di anni 23, natural de Italia quindi nato nel 1896 in Italia e non nel 1900 in Argentina. Sarà per caso il Giovanni di cui abbiamo parlato prima?
