I'm sorry I don't speak italian, but I'm looking about my great-great-grandfather's history.

I know he arrieved in Brazil by 8/3/1888 [with 37 years], his spouse Giovanna (Pivetta) Cadorin[32 years], his mother Domenica (Specin) Cadorin[67] and his sons/daughters: GIUSEPPE[1], GIOVANNI [3], GIUSEPPINA[4], Madalena [6] and Mario [9]

I found out in another website that Giuseppina was born in 15/3/1884 and Giovanni 19/9/1885 both at "Veneto region"

They arrieved in Santos' Port with a ship called San Giogio that left Genova's port

Any information will be helpfull, thank you for your attention

Ele chegou ao Brasil em 8/3/1888 [37 anos], com a esposa Giovanna (Pivetta) Cadorin[32 anos], a mãe Domenica (Specin) Cadorin[67] e os filhos: GIUSEPPE[1], GIOVANNI [3], GIUSEPPINA[4], Madalena [6] and Mario [9]

Eu achei em outro site que Giuseppina nasceu em 15/3/1884 e Giovanni em 19/9/1885 ambos na "região de Veneto"

Eles chegaram em Santos, no vapor San Giogio oriundo do porto de Genova (tem no acerto do museu do imigrante SP)

Qualquer informação ajuda, agradeço desde já pela atenção

Is this the family group you're referring to? Do you have interest in knowing the name of Domenica Specin's husband? Or do you already know him?
Or is your interest to know the place of origin of Pietro Cadorin and his family?

@mmogno I just want information, where they came from, who was Pietro Cadorin's father (Domenica Specin's husband), what comune they born, really Family history, birth place, mariage, where they lived, which lost through time.

My great grandfather was born here in Brazil (João Cadorin), 3 years after they arrieved. Unfortunately I dont know Domenica Specin Cadorin's husband, do you have this information?
I would like to know Giovanna Pivetta Cadorin (Pietro Cadorin's spouse) parents if possible, know their origin (comune) as well.

PS: I was trying without sucess, looks like online search of birth certificates prior 1871 isnt available online, I wonder if there is website where I could locate their mariage certificate or baptism.
I saw some Cadorin from Vazzola but no info about my Family group.

Il nome del padre di Pietro è Giovanni, contadino. Era vivente al momento del matrimonio di Pietro con Giovanna Pivetta.
Il nome della madre effettivamente è Domenica, ma il cognome invece non è Specin: c'è un errore di lettura nella trascrizione del documento dell'Hospedaria de Imigrantes.

Giovanna Pivetta era figlia di Francesco e Maria, ambedue già deceduti alla data del matrimonio con Pietro.

Nel Veneto gli atti di Stato Civile tra il 1815 e il 1871 erano registrati dal parroco. In generale non sono in rete. Devono essere richiesti alla Parrocchia competente, non al Comune.

Do you know when/where Pietro and Giovanna married? Do you know the right surname of Domenica (you said Specin is wrong).
If you know Comune or Parrochia of them, I would like to contact them. I wish to build a Family free. I did ali research here in Brazil about their sons/daughters.


I'm not sure but I suspect Antonio Cadorin(his spouse Anna), which arrieved as well in 8/3/1888 is Pietro Cadorin's brother. There is an old family story about Brothers arguing in the ship, spliting apart and never speaking to each other again.

Non credo che Antonio e Pietro, anche se sono arrivati insieme in Brasile, siano fratelli.
I nomi dei genitori sono tutti e due diversi: per Pietro sono Giovanni e Domenica, per Antonio invece Luigi e Paola Zanellato.

Antonio era emigrato con la moglie Anna Follador e i due figli: Luigi di 8 anni e Matilde di 1.
Luigi era nato a Volpago del Montello il 16.03.1880, Deve essere poi tornato in Italia a fare il servizio militare e poi dovrebbe essere emigrato in Germania. Purtroppo i Registri di Stato Civile di Volpago per quegli anni non sono in rete e così non è semplice approfondire.

@mmogno Thank you very much, I guess Pietro Cadorin's brother, might had stayed aboard and leave in another port, not Santos. I heard he lived in Santa Catarina state.

Do you know where exactly Pietro, Giovanna and their children came from? I mean they city (comune)
If you have date of birth, marriage of all them I would like to place in Family Tree I will make. Maybe in the future I might have the opportunity to visit and know their city
If you have more info about Giovanna (Pivetta) Cadorin parents, I would like to know. Do you know about their brother and sisters? I guess probably they stayed in Italy, I wonder if I might have relatives there

Giovanna, 25 anni, nata e residente a Montebelluna, figlia dei furono Francesco e Maria Martinazzo.

Mario e Maddalena dovrebbero essere nati, verosimilmente a Paese, rispettivamente negli anni 1879-80 e 1882-83. Purtroppo gli atti di Paese per quegli anni non sono on line e quindi dovrebbero essere richiesti al Comune.

Gli atti di nascita di Pietro e Giovanna sono antecedenti al 1871 e devono essere chiesti alle Parrocchie.
Quello di Pietro (~1852) dovrebbe essere chiesto alla Parrocchia di Postioma.
Quello di Giovanna (~1854) a Montebelluna, dove ci sono più parrocchie (almeno 2 a Montebelluna centro).
