Hi Everyone,
My apologise, I don't speak any Italian but I do speak english and french.
I'm looking for some info about my Great Grand father Luigi Giovanni ODDONE who is born on 21st of June 1893 in Tortona, Alessandria, Piemonte, Italy. His wife was Maria Ercolina POGGIO, but have no information at all about her either.
His father was Giovanni ODDONE who married to Coseia Maddalena (no surname).
Can you please advise how I can get some information about them?
Thank you.

Hi and welcome to this forum!
You could contact Diocesan Archive of Tortona to request a copy of his baptismal act, marriage act etc. :
http://www.diocesitortona.it/testi.php?id_testi=158
Alternatively Civil status office of Tortona for birth, marriage and death certificates (better ask for a copia integrale) only from 1866:
http://www.comune.tortona.al.it/estratt ... ato-civile
You could also contact Historical Archive of commune of Tortona and ask if they can look for you in parish registers 1838 – 1865 to go further back.
See here for contact details (Remember that some archives are closed in these days and the wait for a reply could be long):
http://www.comune.tortona.al.it/archivio-storico
And here's the list of documentation they own:
http://www.comune.tortona.al.it/allegat ... regati.pdf
Lastly you could ask State Archive of Alessandria for military records of your male ancestors, they have Liste di leva from 1812 to about 1965 (as year of birth):
http://www.archiviodistatoalessandria.beniculturali.it/
There's even a form to fill for requesting their Foglio matricolare (other military record):
