Scusate l'intromissione, non ho seguito tutto il vostro discorso, ma visto che avete nominato i caduti per la costruzione del Tunnel del Sempione, mi sono ricordata che un po' di tempo fa, mentre cercavo il fratello di un parente, avevo trovato un sito con la lapide dove sono incisi i nomi. I nomi Antonini e Dallera là non ci sono.
Appena ritrovo il sito lo inserisco così se interessa anche ad altre persone lo potranno vedere.

Wow, sono contenta per voi così adesso avete la conferma. Io non avevo seguito tutto quindi pensavo cercaste gli altri due nomi.
Purtroppo non riesco a trovare quel sito, io ho salvato su un mio file la foto della lapide per questo ho potuto leggere i nomi, comunqwue questa lapide è ad Iselle(VB). From this moment I found many difficulties finding them in subsequential censuses or ducuments….But…..
Giovanni and Emilia Antonini had another daughter in Massachusetts because I found this death certificate:

After exentisve searches on Ancestry com I believe that maybe Giovanni Antonini died between 1910 and 1920, Emilia remarried another man and ended up in California following her sister Claudia Calisesi and brother Florido…

I know (from Paola) that Emilia was born on March 28, 1882 and married Giovanni Antonini on June 30, 1898 in Italy….

Maybe Amelia/Emilia “cheated” on their child’s birth places…. However she was living in Massachusetts… Have you noticed that in the 1910 census for Alfredo and Elvira Dallero them both stated their first child were born in Massachusetts? Do you believe it was possible that they lived together, at least the first years of their life in the U.S?

This woman I believe was the little daughter Bruna on the 1905 arrival manifest for Emilia and Giovanni Antonini


I know from Paola that Giovanni Antonini married his first wife Margherita Pennelli in Italy on 1894, his first son Primo was born on 1895. Margherita, died in Lucca (Italy – Tuscany region) on 1897 and Giovanni decided to leave his first and only son Primo to a rich family in Lucca were the boy had the chance for a better life…. Primo could study and became a surveyor… Unfortunately he died during the Second World War and Paola and his family don’t know much about Primo’s life and especially about Primo’s father’s life….
They know Giovanni Antonini married Emilia Baldini (his second wife) in the Piedmont Region, in the north of Italy on 1898…
From the arrival manifest we know they were living in Briga – Switzerland as last residence in europe….
I believe they were there as immigrants, to work in the mines or to work in the big construction of the “Sempione” tunnel between Italy and Switzerland were many Italians were working…
I saw on your tree that Felice Baldini had another son named Michele…. You wrote he died in a mine accident in switzerland….Could you please explain what do you know about this?
I noticed that also Emma, the first daughter of Alfredo and Elvira is listed as born in Switzerland on some census manifests… do you know if this is true?
The desire of Paola is to find Giovanni Antonini’s descendants… because Giovanni and Emila Baldini’s child (Frank, Mary and Lena/Bruna) were half-brother and half-sisters to his grandfather… maybe they never knew of this half-brother in Italy…

I found that Francesco Antonini (if the previous documents are correct) married a girl named Melba (I don’t know why he changed his last name using the last name of the second husband of his mother):

I noticed on the 1910 census for your direct ancestors Alfredo and Elvira Dellero that they were living near a family Zammarchi …… Do you know if some of the Zammarchis married Elvira’s sister Emilia after her husband Giovanni Antonini died?
