Come vedi aveva ragione Cannella, qui c'è la storia della famiglia Berling che ha avuto a che fare con la chiesa che sorge a
Ordrup nella municipalità Gentofte di Copenaghen.

Qui ci sono i figli di Polly, ma c'è anche una ragazza; avevi detto che avevano solo figli maschi. Se riesci ad andare su my heritage (io non ho l'abbonamento) puoi vedere che età avevano rispetto a Emilia.

Nell'archivio ho trovato che il marito di Emilia Gehrard Bomholt ha ottenuto la naturalizzazione danese nel 1924, dopo che Emilia era già morta.
Purtroppo l'ho perso e non riesco più a trovarlo

Ho dato un occhiata veloce: il marito avevo trovato che fosse nato a AHSEN TYSKLAND il 13-1-1856, quindi in Germania.
La moglie muore nel 1923, quindi la naturalizzazione avviene dopo.

I Berling erano tipografi e poi editori,ma anche filantropi.
Nel loro viaggio in Italia potrebbero aver conosciuto la famiglia indigente di Emilia e averla presa in carico, non legalmente.
Non risulta essere una figlia adottiva, ma sui Berling c'è molto altro.

A little update from me:
Niko29 have helped me a lot in Milano, during the autumn and winter, and I have tried my best to find out more here in Denmark.

I haven't got any further about the Berling-story. I know by fact, that a Berling-daughter, Thyra, is attending a baptism for Emilias oldest son. I also know, like some of you have written, that Thyras mother, Polly Berling, is some kind of founder for a catholic society in Ordrup, Denmark. So I have an idea, that Emilia come from Italy, to Ordrup, but I can't find her anywhere. I have contacted a local archive in Ordrup, but they can't find anything.
The latest I have tried is, to contact two churches, the one in Ordrup, where Emilia and Gerhard were married, and the one in Copenhagen where the children is baptism.
I also got contact to a man, who's grandson of Emilia and Gerhard. I'm planning on calling him some of the days, to hear what he knows. He has known Gerhard, but of course not Emilia, because she died very early.

My mom thinks that Emilia and Gerhards girls was on some kind of school where they lived for some time. Ind the documents I can se that they are not living with their parents for a period, so it might be right.
My mom also says, that the story about the Berlings should only have boys, she's not sure about. So maybe it's just a story..

Desidero chiarire che abbiamo appurato che Emilia non è mai stata ricoverata presso il brefrotrofio provinciale, infatti non esiste una sua cartella. La madre è stata assistita al parto presso la struttura, ma dopo 8 giorni è stata dimessa per tornare al suo lavoro di musicista girovaga.
L'archivio ci ha fornito il carteggio che c'è stato tra il Tribunale e l'istituto tra la fine del 1884 e il 1885 perché probabilmente avevano la necessità di presentare documenti per l'espatrio di una minorenne con la famiglia danese.
Siamo arrivate alla conclusione che la ragazzina sia stata data in affido ai Berling per toglierla dalla strada e darle la possibilità di avere un tetto e un'istruzione, non è stata quindi adottata. Bisognerebbe magari chiedere alla Parrocchia di Fara d'Adda o all'archivio civico per avere notizie di quanto è accaduto tra il 1884 e il 1885.
Come già fatto notare, Emilia aveva dato il nome di sua madre a una delle figlie e questo induce a pensare che i rapporti fossero rimasti buoni.
Come si può vedere dai documenti allegati all'albero, entrambi I genitori sono morti pochi anni prima a di lei ed erano entrambi mendicanti, anche se sono vissuti molto più di lei come pure il nonno che è morto a 92 anni.
La sorella fu merciaia (ambulante), mentre i il fratello minore, nato anche lui all'ospizio delle partorienti, era suonatore ambulante e morì a Milano nel 1926.
Chissà, magari un giorno, mi deciderò a richiedere notizie a Fara d'Adda, per il momento può bastare e magari Carina farà nuove scoperte. Faremo sapere.
