salve a tutti! vorrei tanto aiutare mio nonno a rintracciare i suoi parenti americani...il fratello di suo madre(giuseppe gaito, sposato con carolina pastore)è partito intorno al 1895 da napoli ed è andato a new york...mio nonno ha mantenuto i rapporti con i suoi cugini x un pò ma poi ha perso ogni traccia e ora ha un grande desiderio di ritrovarli, magari anche i figli dei cugini...un qualsiasi segno di vita dall'america lo renderebbe tanto felice!!! qualcuno può dirmi cosa posso fare?
ho visto che non si possono cercare persone viventi su questo forum...ma se mi aiutate a trovare questo giuseppe gaito magari al resto ci penso io!

Va a New York a trovare il cugino Zullo Pasquale, residente in 62 Mulberry Str. a New York
ed é in viaggio con un parente di nome Carmine Pufi?, perchè anche questa persona va a trovare il cugino Zullo Pasquale.

Thomas J. Gaito a resident of Ossining for 46 years died Monday January 19, 2004.
Thomas was born in the Bronx, on April 23, 1909 and was the son of the late Joseph and Caroline (Pastore) Gaito. He was 94 years old.
Thomas was a retired Steam Fireman at Sing Sing Prison in Ossining and retired in 1972. He also was a skilled plasterer and was very much sought after for his finishing work. He was a parishioner of St. Ann's Church.
His son Joseph, his daughter Carolyn Braverman, his companion Doris Marino, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren survive Thomas. He was predeceased by his wife Angeline, his brother Salvatore and his 4 sisters Carmela Coiffi, Lydia Bessalaar, Margaret DeMeio, and Domenica Mauris.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9PM with the Funeral Mass Thursday at 10:00AM at St Ann's Church in Ossining. The interment will follow at Holy Mount Cemetery in Eastchester.
