Family Gerardis

Hello,

I am looking for records from Radicena, Calabria about a Giuseppe Gerardis or his sons Raffaele, Ferdinando, Baldassarre around 1800. I want to find his ancestors in order to connect them with my greek records.

I have examined some wills dated back to 1670 and I found that Gerardis family was a Greek family living in Cyclades islands and some of their family members migrated to Italy.

Can you tell me where to look? I do not live in Italy.

For the period between 1809-1815, the "Stato Civile Napoleonico" with birth, marriage and death records for Radicena are available onlie here:

For the period between 1816-1860, you have to check in the "Stato Civile della Restaurazione", available here for Radicena:

Unfortunately there are no indexes, and you have to check record by record....

For the period before 1809, you should check the church records. Radicena is now part of Taurianova, you might try to contact the church at this address:
