were there any other mention of the 'Ricci' family up to 1850?
I haven't looked that...so next time....
If he returned to Pescaglia, is there an easy way to check for his death?
On Family Search death records for Pescaglia are from the years 1866 to 1902 so you should contact the Municipal Offices to know if there's his death certificate and request a copy "copia integrale": http://www.comune.pescaglia.lu.it/index ... &Itemid=23
I've looked again but I haven't found M.Erminia Mazzei's death between 1838 and 1849 in Colognora..... This is really very strange!
And I haven't found any marriage relative to Mazzei Florinda, Angela and Stella between 1836 and 1850.
The other children of Giuseppe Ricci and Diomira Mazzei are:
M. Brigida Erminia (daughter of Giuseppe of deceased Filippo of deceased Gio. Antonio) born on April 23th 1847 in Colognora and deceased on May 7th 1847 in Colognora (godmother: Mazzei M. Florinda residing in Colognora);
M. Eufemia born on September 14th 1848 in Colognora (godfather: Luigi of Jacopo Mazzei, godmother: Margherita wife of Giuseppe Ricci);
Costantino born on September 5th 1851 in Colognora (godmother: Jacopa widow of Giuseppe Lombardi);
Other probable relatives:
M. Angela widow of Giuseppe Ricci from Colognora deceased on January 15th 1847 in Colognora;
Jacopa widow of Giuseppe Lombardi, aged 70, deceased on February 24th 1854 in Colognora.
Hi,
Ricci Ersilia was born in Livorno area probably because her parents were seasonal labourers who moved from Colognora to Maremma.
The main towns of Maremma Pisana (or Livornese) are Rosignano Marittimo, Cecina, Riparbella, Montescudaio, Guardistallo, Casale Marittimo, Bibbona, Bolgheri, Castagneto Carducci, Campiglia Marittima, Suvereto, San Vincenzo, Populonia and Piombino.
On Antenati there's no birth of Ersilia in Sassetta, Bibbona and Piombino around 1855/1856.
